Women's Volvo sweater

The Volvo sweater is designed by Marita Bett Aakre who has used references from her own youth in the 90s, where the Esso and robbery environment influenced the image of the time. The series Rådebank triggered it. After watching the series last winter, the first sketch for the sweater was drawn, mostly for fun. But it is about so much more than robbery. It is about youth seen in perspective, it is about identity and aesthetics. It is about love for Volvo, especially the Volvo 164.

It's also a good idea to wear warm wool when going out on a cold winter night...

The sweater is knitted in a strand of Finull together with a strand of Alpaca Silk. The combination of these two yarn qualities gives a feeling of both softness and structure, and together this becomes a light and airy garment that keeps its shape year after year. Our new favorite is Finull + Alpaca Silk <3

Short, close-fitting model with balloon sleeves. The two color combinations are inspired by the Volvo 164's own color chart: Royal Blue, and Carmine Red. Cypress Green is unfortunately discontinued as our manufacturer Rauma Garn has stopped producing one of the colors in the sweater.
