Women's cardigan with sewn-in sleeves
The pattern repeats on the chest are inspired by the beautiful bridal crowns from Honndalen.
The tips in the pattern report above, among other things, the ribbing on the sleeves and body, perhaps give associations to two scythe blades that meet in a tip. In 1900, half of all adult men there were scythesmiths, and Honndal scythes were a well-known trade item for, among others, the people of Hjørundfjorden. Scythe merchants then walked over the mountain Kviven with their goods. Today we can easily reach Hornindal through the Kvivstunnel. Honndøler is well known for its outstanding craftsmanship, with the sculptor Anders Svor as the most recognized artist.
